The Project Interior Designer will have the chance to leverage their design expertise to create innovative and impactful solutions for a variety of projects. This role offers a multifaceted opportunity for personal and professional growth. Responsibilities range from interpreting, organizing, and producing design/ construction documentation in all design phases. Additionally, you'll have the responsibility of mentoring and guiding junior team members, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them develop their own skills and capabilities.

You'll be challenged to execute design deliverables at the highest level of quality, ensuring that each project meets or exceeds client expectations. This will require not only creativity and technical proficiency but also attention to detail, effective communication, and strong project management skills. This role provides a dynamic and stimulating environment where you can continually refine your design skills, cultivate leadership abilities, and make meaningful contributions to the success of the team and our community.


A DAY IN THE LIFE

- Programming and space planning
-Design development
- FF&E-Selection and specification of all interior finishes, fixtures, furniture, and accessories
- Prepare and organize client design presentations and schematics
- Prepare, revise, and maintain interior production/construction documentation
- Provide support and guidance for junior team members
- Organize and collaborate with the studio team to prepare RFQs, manage materials, fabrication, and furniture budgets
- Confidently coordinate and communicate with consultants, vendors, and other professionals throughout entire project
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all design deliverables.
- Close out project documentation and wrap
- Utilize task management software to communicate project processes and status to team
- Demonstrate proficiency in both traditional and digital design tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ownership of tasks, big picture goal setting, forward thinking, and solutions to improve processes and efficiencies

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

  • 4-6 years working experience in interior design firm

  • Self-motivated team player 

  • AutoCAD proficiency

  • Revit (not required)

  • G-suite and MAC proficiency

  • Adobe Suite 

  • 3D modeling skills

  • Strong interior detailer 

  • Strong management and communication skills

  • CIDQ Interior Designer
